The molecule produced during the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis is ATP and NADPH.

The light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis occur in the thylakoid membranes of the chloroplasts and are driven by light energy. During these reactions:

ATP is produced by photophosphorylation, which involves the use of light energy to generate ATP through the electron transport chain and ATP synthase.

NADPH is produced when electrons from water molecules, excited by light energy in photosystem I, are transferred to NADP⁺, reducing it to NADPH.
