The likely effect on photosynthesis is that photosynthesis will decrease.

Chlorophyll is the primary pigment responsible for absorbing light energy (mainly in the blue and red wavelengths) to drive the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis. If the plant is exposed to a wavelength chlorophyll cannot absorb:
