The structure that is NOT a part of the mitochondria is the thylakoid.

Thylakoids are membrane-bound structures found in chloroplasts, the organelles responsible for photosynthesis in plants and algae. They contain chlorophyll and are involved in the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis.
