"The street was dimly lit, with the occasional flicker of a neon sign casting brief light over the cracked sidewalks. The air was thick with the smell of exhaust fumes, and the sound of distant traffic buzzed like an unending hum. He walked slowly, his shoulders hunched, his eyes focused on the ground. Every now and then, he glanced up at the towering buildings that loomed over him, their windows dark and indifferent, just like the city itself."
