Recall the kinematic equations for vertical - motion under gravity:

When an object is thrown vertically upward with an initial velocity and the acceleration due to gravity acts downward.

 

Initially, the object moves upward. The velocity (the slope of the position - time graph) is positive. As the object moves upward, the gravitational force acts against its motion, causing it to decelerate. At the maximum-height, the velocity of the object is 0 (the slope of the position - time graph is 0 at the maximum - height point). Thus, The position-time graph in this interval should be a curve with an increasingly flatter positive slope.
