  Data set: 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21, 23  

2. Step 2: Find the median (Q2):  
  The median is the middle value. Since there are 11 values, the median is the 6th value:  
  Median (Q2) = 14  

3. Step 3: Find the first quartile (Q1):  
  Q1 is the median of the lower half: 5, 7, 8, 10, 12  
  Median of this set is 8 (3rd value).  
  Q1 = 8  

4. Step 4: Find the third quartile (Q3):  
  Q3 is the median of the upper half: 15, 18, 19, 21, 23  
  Median of this set is 19 (3rd value).  
  Q3 = 19  

5. Step 5: Calculate the IQR:
