Analysis of the Question Stem

First of all, we need to understand the characteristics of each cycle.

The water cycle mainly involves processes such as evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and runoff of water. However, the typical water-related processes are not involved in the figure.

The carbon cycle mainly involves the conversion of carbon between organisms, the atmosphere, soil, the ocean, etc. in the form of carbon dioxide. For example, plants absorb carbon dioxide through photosynthesis and release it through respiration. These carbon-related conversions are not shown in the figure.
