Given System of Equations

1.( x - 2y + 3z = 5 )  (Equation 1)

2.( 2x + y - z = 3 )   (Equation 2)

3.( 3x - y + z = 7 )   (Equation 3)

 

Step 1: Add Equations 2 and 3 to Eliminate ( z )

First, we add equations 2 and 3:

(2x + y - z) + (3x - y + z) = 3 + 7

5x + 0y + 0z = 10

5x = 10

x = 2

 

Step 2: Substitute ( x ) Back to Find ( y ) and ( z )

Now that we have ( x = 2 ), we can substitute it back into equation 2 to find ( y ) and ( z ):

2(2) + y - z = 3

4 + y - z = 3

y - z = 3 - 4

y - z = -1 {Equation 4}
