The function f(x) = -x is a linear function with a negative slope. It represents a straight line that passes through the origin (0, 0) and has a slope of -1.

To describe the end behavior of this function, we consider what happens to the values of f(x) as x approaches positive infinity and negative infinity.

As x approaches positive infinity (x → +∞):
When x becomes larger and larger (approaching positive infinity), the function f(x) = -x becomes more and more negative. In other words, the values of f(x) decrease without bound. Therefore, as x approaches positive infinity, f(x) approaches negative infinity. Mathematically, we can express this as:
