Real numbers: All numbers that can be represented on the common number line, including integers, rational and irrational numbers.

Rational numbers: Numbers that can be represented as a ratio between two integers, such as 3.7 which equals 37/10.

Integers: Numbers that can be written without fractions, including natural numbers and their opposites.

Whole numbers: Natural numbers and 0.

Natural numbers: Positive whole numbers beginning at 1, not including 0.
