D = Vi*t+1/2at² is the appropriate equation for calculating the distance traveled when an object starts from rest and undergoes constant acceleration.

Given the acceleration a=3.20 m/²  and time t=32.8s, and because the airplane suppose to start from rest, the initial velocity Vi should be 0m/s.
